In spite of legal deterrents and institutional policies seeking to prevent retaliation against those who experience or report sexual harassment in higher education, retaliation continues to be a prominent concern and experience. Join the Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education for a virtual issue paper release event on Preventing and Addressing Retaliation Resulting from Sexual Harassment in Academia. The issue paper authors will discuss the existing legal protections against retaliation related to sexual harassment, conditions that enable retaliation to occur, negative consequences of retaliation, and policies and practices that may help prevent retaliation. The issue paper serves as research-based resource for higher education administrators; practitioners; faculty, staff, and student leaders. The virtual webinar will be held on December 13th, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM (EST) during which the authors will provide an overview of the paper, followed by a dialogue between the three authors and two discussants.
