Description
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will convene a group of experts to assist the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the development and dissemination of interactive/engaging micro-learning web-based tools to meet the elevated cognitive, affective, and behavioral well-being needs of parents, children, and adolescents during the COVID-19 crisis. Building on prior National Academies’ work, the experts will discuss web-based cognitive behavioral therapy strategies for reducing stress and anxiety during the coronavirus pandemic, guide a subcontractor in the creation of a suite of web-based tools, and oversee the development of the tools to ensure scientific rigor. The tools developed will be released as a product of the subcontractor and will be hosted on the National Academies’ website.
