Committee on Integrating New Behavioral Health Measures into the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Data Collection Programs

Completed

The standing committee discussions will center around four principal topics: (1) serious emotional disturbance in children, (2) trauma, (3) recovery from a substance use or mental disorder, and (4) specific mental illness diagnoses with any functional impairment. During a two-year period, the standing committee will meet periodically to receive information and engage in discussion with SAMHSA and ASPE staff and other invited guests. The standing committee will identify topics within the four broad areas to be further explored and discussed at three public workshops, but will not itself produce or be used in the development of any reports.
