Inter-Service Discussions about Advanced Battle Management System and Project Overmatch: A Meeting of Experts

A classified meeting to explore synergies and gaps between the Department of the Navy's Project Overmatch and the Department of the Air Force's Advanced Battle Management System in support of the Defense Department's Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Strategy.

Description

At the request of the Commander of Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will organize, plan, convene, and facilitate a one-time classified meeting of invited experts to engage in discussions with the leaders from NAVWAR, the Navy Digital Warfare Office, the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO), and the Office of the Chief Architect of the Department of the Air Force. The meeting will enable Departments of the Navy and Air Force leaders to obtain firsthand scientific and technical views of these experts acting in their individual capacities. Specifically, the experts would be asked to comment on emerging technologies, best practices, and potential synergies and interoperability opportunities between the Navy's Project Overmatch and the Air Force's Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) in their support to the Department of Defense's Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) mission.
No report of the meeting will be prepared. At the request of the Commander, NAVWAR, an official transcript of the meeting will be provided following review by the Office of General Counsel.
