Any project, supported or not by a committee, that is currently being worked on or is considered active, and will have an end date.

Data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) are expected to play a critical role in many areas of biomanufacturing. However, this transition will present unique challenges for developing and training the future biomanufacturing workforce. The National Academies will organize a virtual meeting of experts to discuss AI, ML, and data science as they apply to the future of biomanufacturing. A particular focus will be on potential changes to education and training approaches needed to strengthen and diversify the future workforce.
